This year, with the increasing needs in Placer county, we are seeking your sponsorship for our
eleventh annual “Raising Spirits” wine and food tasting event, scheduled for April 22, 2012 at the
Morgan Creek Country Club in Roseville. The success of this event depends heavily on the
support of our sponsors. The Placer Care Coalition, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was
formed in January 2001, bringing together Roseville Home Start, (providing shelter for homeless
families), The Lazarus Project (a transitional program for single adults), St. Vincent de Paul
(providing social services, dining room, food locker, and thrift store for the elderly and those in
need), and What Would Jesus Do? (feeding the homeless, providing transportation and social
services).
Our goal is to make $75,000. The price of a ticket is $45.00 or two for $85.00. There will be a
silent auction, live auction and raffle. Money raised from this event will be divided evenly between
the foure agencies. We are aware of the many requests for help this year, but the need in
Roseville/South Placer also is real and has increased over the past year.
The Placer Care Coalition, Inc. board is made up of representatives from the four agencies plus
several members at large. The efforts of all these organizations reach out to all of South Placer
County. There are no boundaries for those in need. Churches and other agencies, including the
police department, refer people in need to the above four organizations to provide help. The
Coalition is made up of all volunteers who receive no salaries and thus we have no administration
costs.
We are looking for sponsors and donations for cost underwriting. We are also looking for
goods or services to include in our auction. Please complete the form below indicating your level
